Pacific gopher snake babies are very popular as pet reptiles. They represent the Colubridae family, and they reside in burrows, crevices and fissures. They come in cream or gray-green with black, brown or copper red splotches all over the body. These snakes are quite large, measuring 36-96 inches in length. These reptiles ward off enemies by hissing and shaking their tails, although they have no rattles. Males are highly territorial and aggressive toward other males. Courtship rituals are pretty rough, and males bite hard on females’ necks to compel them to mate. Pacific gopher snake babies are very popular as pet reptiles.
