Grey Rat Snake

Grey rat snake babies should be obtained from a reliable breeder. They reach the size of about 36-72 inches and are usually grayish with grayish-black blotches and also have two dark stripes underside of the tail. The young resemble the adults in appearance. This is a non-venomous species that is found from eastern Georgia west to Alabama and north to southern Indiana in pinelands, hardwood hammocks, cypress strands, swamps, marshes, etc. The scientific name for the species is Elaphe obsoleta spiloides. Grey rat snake babies should be obtained from a reliable breeder.
