Unlike other Boas, these animals lay eggs, and clutches range from 15 to 100 eggs. They are ambush hunters and never chase their prey. They have temperature sensitive holes along their jaws, which are a wonderful addition to vision and a sense of smell and are very helpful in locating prey.
