Frogs are amphibians, which spend a considerable part of their lives in water. There are vast numbers of frogs on earth, and they can be found on every continent except Antarctica. Frogs return to the water to lay eggs. Tadpoles have tails and gills, but as the frog matures, it loses the tail and develops strong legs and lungs. Frogs feed on insects, worms and small fish.
