These reptiles are relatively easy to breed in captivity. Females lay 8-25 eggs on the average. The eggs incubate for 60-80 days before hatching. There are many varieties of these reptiles available on the captive bred market. Breeding reptiles, however, should not be undertaken by owners, who lack knowledge and responsibility.
