These reptiles are constrictors. They bite their prey, wrap one or more coils of their body around it, and then squeeze it tightly until the prey dies from suffocation. The reptiles swallow their food whole. Though, there have been reports of the reptiles eating live rodents.

These reptiles feed upon a diet of pre-killed rodents. A bowl of fresh water should be placed in the their enclosure and be available for your pets at all times. These reptiles do not usually feed every day. Once a week or once in ten days is enough for them.
