This reptiles are members of the Old world Family Chamaeleonidae. In the wild, they feed on small and large insects, and also small vertebrates. In captivity, their diet consists mainly of waxworms and crickets. Reproduction occurs once every two years. The female produces 20 to 25 eggs per clutch.
