Their most outstanding feature is the capacity to change colors and patterns of the skin. Most species are found on the Madagascar, in the Middle East, Europe and Asia. The lizard makes a good pet, though it cannot be called low maintenance.

These lizards possess unique physical characteristics. Their eyes can move independently and are almost entirely covered by skin. They have pincer-like feet, which allow them to hold to the tree branches. Their projectile tongue enables them to capture insects from a distance. Many kameleon pictures are taken at a breeders farm.
